  • Sanatan Padhan

    Sanatan Bhai comes from a long line of master dhokra artists from a very well-known dhokra craft village. However, a few years ago he along with 35 other families had to relocate and form a new village called Nuagaon away from their ancestral village.

    Sanatan Bhai leads the village full of dhokra artists and ensures that the art form remains alive and thriving.

  • Ajay Mahapatra & Ranjulata Mahapatra

    Ajay Mahaptra and his wife Ranjulata Mahapatra believe - weaving process is an art which must be preserved and respected. For them, weaving is their livelihood and means to spirituality.

    They spend over 9 hours everyday weaving and building creative ideas for fresh designs! They have woven these sarees with a lot of love, care, and devotion.

  • Bibhu Maharana

    Bibhu Maharana is a traditional Pattachitra artist from Danda Sahi who has won several accolades and awards for his work. He is trying to keep alive the traditional Gurukul system of learning and propagating the art form.

    He believes Pattachitra is a divine art form that everyone must know about, and that this art form brings him closer to himself, and the Lord of the Universe, Lord Jagannath.

  • Sachikant Sahoo

    Sachikant Sahoo is a young Pattachitra & Palm Leaf Etching artist from the crafts village Raghurajpur, popular for being the hub of all traditional and ancient Handicrafts of Odisha. He belongs to a family of Pattachitra artists recognized and awarded nationally.

    He believes in bringing contemporary and traditional art together to suit the taste of the younger generation.

  • Kanhu Rana

    Kanhu Rana, a young Dhokra Artisan from the Crafts Village of Kudiakhunta, Mayurbhanj, has kept the thousands-years old Legacy alive.

    He is a new-age Artisan, who tries out fusion of this Ancient Craft with some Contemporary Designs. Every single household in his village is engaged in Dhokra Crafts and they have been doing it for generations.

  • Surendra Behera

    Shri Surendra Behera of Vill: Mansingh Patna, Distt: Cuttack Odisha has been started his career from teenage as a filigree worker and jeweller.

    Popular for Dusshera festival decor, his hands in making ornaments in gold and silver (filigree) are extraordinary. He has a specific expertise in making idols of Lord Jagannath, Maa Laxmi, Maa Durga and other decorative items in silver (filigree).
